Designed for the younger beginner (ages 33 months-5 years), preschool beginner piano lessons establish a firm foundation in the basics of music and introduction to piano. Through song, dance, movement, and more, students learn technique, theory, and ear training skills necessary for the budding pianist. Individual lessons are offered year round and small group classes are offered periodically, usually in the summer.
Why do we have parents who drive for weekly lessons from Austin, Laredo, Uvalde, and everywhere in between for piano lessons? Because MACSA’s piano faculty is the best set of pre-college piano teachers in Texas. And we keep getting better by learning from and challenging each other. From PreSchool to Professional, From Casual to the Concert Hall, From For Fun to For Your Future. MACSA is the best in this – no one else comes close.
At MACSA, we have teachers who are certified in the Suzuki Method in strings and piano. Shinichi Suzuki, founder of the the Suzuki Method, realized the implications of the fact that children the world over learn to speak their native language with ease. He began to apply the basic principles of language acquisition to the learning of music, and called his method the mother-tongue approach. The ideas of parent responsibility, loving encouragement, constant repetition, etc., are some of the special features of the Suzuki approach. If you’re interested in this method, please indicate on the Interested in Lessons Form.
At MACSA, we offer voice lessons to children as young as 3 years old. If you have a singer in your home, schedule a free trial lesson with our teachers!
